We cover Prosper (75078), including Windsong Ranch, Star Trail, Whitley Place, Gentle Creek, Lakes of La Cima, Whispering Farms, Frontier Estates, The Parks at Legacy and Legacy Gardens. Sitters already know Frontier Park, Whitley Place Park, Windsong Park, Star Trace Park and the streets around downtown Prosper. Nearby Frisco, McKinney, Plano, Allen, The Colony and Little Elm are coverage too — we match you to the closest sitter.
We’re already taking Thanksgiving and Christmas bookings. Phones 6:00am–11:00pm Central. A manager is on call 24/7 if a visit needs backup.

Looking for a Pet Sitter in Prosper?
Prosper was a farm town of a couple thousand people when we started in 2003. It is now one of the fastest-growing towns in Texas, and the dogs showed up right along with the houses. Windsong Ranch, Star Trail, Whitley Place, Gentle Creek — street after street of families who travel for work, commute down the Dallas North Tollway, and need somebody they genuinely trust with a key to the house.
Most pet sitting apps treat Prosper as a suburb of Frisco. You book, and a stranger drives up from somewhere else, circles the neighborhood looking for your gate, and you never see that person again. We do it the other way around. Your Prosper sitter is a W-2 employee of our company who lives near you, and you meet them at your own kitchen table before you pay for a single visit.
Since 2003, DFW Pet Sitting Services, Inc. has logged more than a million pet care visits around the Metroplex. There is no app sitting in the middle of this. The person who unlocks your door is on our payroll — screened, trained, insured, bonded, and answerable to a manager. Your pets stay where they already sleep, on the schedule they already keep.
Someone answers the phone from 6:00am to 11:00pm Central, a manager stays reachable around the clock when a visit needs backup, and every appointment sits in our scheduling software, so a missed visit cannot quietly happen.
Why Prosper Pet Owners Choose DFW Pet Sitting
We are an employer, not an app. Screening, background checks, training, insurance, bonding, and the daily management of people are our problem rather than yours. Nobody is asking you to read a stranger’s self-written profile and hope for the best. You are hiring a company that has done this more than a million times and carries real commercial coverage on every visit.
Your sitter lives near you. We assign sitters within roughly five miles of your address. Windsong Ranch off Fishtrap, Star Trail near Prosper Trail, Whitley Place on the east side, Gentle Creek toward Preston Road — the person coming to your house already knows the turns, the gate, and how long the light at 380 takes.
One person, every time. The sitter who sits at your kitchen table during the free consultation is the same one who lets herself in while you are gone. Nobody rotates. Your dog learns to recognize one particular car door. Your gate code, alarm code, and spare key never leave that one employee.
Somebody is actually watching. Every visit is tracked in real time by our management team, so a missed check-in surfaces the same day. In a town still filling in its street grid, where a brand-new address can defeat a map, that oversight is worth having.
Real insurance and bonding. Every employee is covered under our commercial liability insurance and bonded. That is not a platform “guarantee” with a page of exclusions. We do not use independent contractors.
Backup that exists on paper. People get sick and cars break down. When that happens a manager activates our replacement protocol, calls you, and sends a qualified backup — often a nearby Frisco or McKinney sitter. With 250+ employees across DFW, the visit still happens.
Our Prosper Pet Sitting & Dog Walking Services
Every visit is 25 minutes. $25 for 25 minutes for one pet, $3 for each additional pet, dog walking plans from $23, and the in-home meet-and-greet is free.
Vacation and travel pet sitting. Your pets stay in their own house with a sitter who knows them by name. Feeding, medication, play, litter, mail and packages off the porch, lights and blinds moved around, and photo updates every visit. Dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish and small caged animals. No kennel, no carrier, no boarding stress.
Daily dog walking. Built for Prosper households where everyone is gone from 7 to 6. We come mid-day for a walk, a bathroom break, fresh water and some company. Same walker, same days, same window — not whoever claims the job. Summer here is brutal, so walks get shorter, earlier and shadier, and water comes first.
Cat sitting. Cats stay on their own territory. Fresh water, food portioned the way you portion it, a scooped box, some play, and an honest look at how your cat is really doing. Medication included, insulin and sub-q fluids included.
Puppy and senior care. Prosper is full of brand-new houses and brand-new puppies, and housebreaking needs more visits than one a day. On the other end, senior pets need medication on time, help on slick floors, and someone who notices when they are having a bad week.
Multi-pet households. Two dogs, a cat and a bearded dragon is a normal Tuesday for us. All of them in one visit. Extra pet is $3 — the published rate, not a surprise line item.
Late-evening walks. If you do not get home until 8, we can walk at 8. Phones are answered until 11:00pm Central and a manager is on call overnight.
Short-notice and holiday coverage. Because our sitters live locally, last-minute requests are often doable. Holidays are the exception — Thanksgiving and Christmas fill first, so call as soon as you have dates.
House sitting and home checks. Mail, porch packages, lights, trash bins, plants and a walk-through. Most Prosper clients add this to pet visits rather than booking it alone, because a dark house with a full driveway apron and three days of packages is obvious from the street.
What Sets DFW Pet Sitting Apart from Apps Like Rover
A Windsong Ranch gate, a Star Trail alarm panel, a Whitley Place back gate, and a flight out of DFW that slides two hours later are not the place for a stranger with a flattering profile photo. What you are hiring instead is a managed employee of a company that has worked across the Metroplex since 2003. Side by side:
| Rover / Wag | DFW Pet Sitting | |
|---|---|---|
| Who enters your home | A different contractor each time you book | One assigned sitter — the same person, every visit |
| Who they work for | Independent gig contractor | W-2 employee: background-checked, trained, supervised |
| If something goes wrong | Platform “guarantee” with exclusions | Commercial liability insurance and bonding |
| If your sitter cancels | You re-book and hope | Manager activates backup from 250+ DFW staff |
| Oversight | Nothing between you and the sitter | Every visit tracked by a manager in real time |
| Before your first visit | Optional chat, often skipped | Free in-person meet-and-greet, always |
Cat Sitting in Prosper
Cats are the reason drop-in visits exist at all. They travel badly, board worse, and hold both against you afterward. So yours stays put. Twenty-five minutes covers fresh water, food measured the way you measure it, a clean box, whatever game that particular cat will actually agree to play, and an honest look at whether she is eating and drinking. A photo comes with it.
Medication is routine work here: pills, insulin, sub-q fluids, eye drops, inhalers. And when a cat vanishes into a house she has not finished mapping, the sitter lowers herself onto the floor and waits her out. Nobody leaves until the cat has been seen.
A healthy adult cat should be seen daily at the very least. Kittens, cats in their later years and cats on prescriptions need two visits a day. Heaping up dry food and letting the box go for four days is not something we will agree to, and we would rather say so up front than take the booking and cut corners.
More on how we look after cats across the Metroplex is on our cat sitting page.
Your Home’s Security Is Our Priority
We do this differently from most pet sitting companies, and it is deliberate. Our sitters do not wear branded uniforms, and there are no magnets, decals or signs on their cars. We could put our logo on every vehicle and stake a sign in every yard. It would be free advertising, and most companies in this business do exactly that.
We do not, because a marked car in your driveway at the same time every day tells the entire street that nobody is home. A yard sign says the same thing to anyone driving through. Uniforms and signage announce that the owners are away, and that is the one thing we are trying not to announce. Keeping your house looking lived-in is worth more to us than the free marketing.
Your sitter looks like a family member or a neighbor stopping by, because that is the point. Nobody on your street needs to know you are traveling.
It matters more here than in most places. Prosper is large lots, long driveways, gated pockets and amenity centers, and an empty house on a quiet street is easy to read. Gate codes, alarm codes, key fobs and spare keys stay with the one assigned person. Discretion is not an upgrade — it is how we work.
Meet Our Prosper Pet Sitters
You will meet the sitter who is going to care for your pets, in your home, before the first paid visit. They are a W-2 employee, not a contractor who signed up last week. We hire pet people who want to work in their own neighborhood, usually within five miles of home, which is why they are still with us years later.
Scheduling runs through Ashley and Laura, and a manager stays on call around the clock if your visit needs a backup drawn from the 250+ people on staff. You will not find sitter photographs or last names anywhere on this page, and that is deliberate. You meet them face to face instead.
What Clients Say
Prosper families leave their reviews on the same Google listing as everyone else we serve — 4.9 stars, more than 500 of them, gathered in one place rather than split across forty separate city pages. Read through them, then meet your sitter before you commit to anything.

Where Our Prosper Sitters Walk
Prosper has put a lot of money into parks and trails, and our sitters use them. These are the ones that come up most often:
Frontier Park — the big one on Frontier Parkway, and the default when a dog needs more than a lap of the cul-de-sac. Easy leashed loops, plenty of room, and close to most of central Prosper.
Whitley Place Park — tucked into the Whitley Place neighborhood on the east side, with trail access that makes for a good 25-minute out-and-back.
Windsong Park — inside Windsong Ranch, so for a lot of our clients it is a walk from the front door. The trail network through Windsong is genuinely nice for dogs.
Star Trace Park and Star Meadow Park — the Star Trail side of town. Short, shaded, and handy for mid-day walks in August.
Downtown Prosper — Broadway and Coleman, the silos, and the small-town blocks around them. A pleasant leashed stroll on a cool morning if your dog likes people.
One rule we will state plainly: dogs stay leashed while our sitter is on the clock, off-leash areas included. This is not a judgment about your dog. It is that nobody can manage a loose dog, an unfamiliar dog, and a phone camera at the same moment, and that is not a risk we are willing to hand you. Off-leash time is a fine thing to do together, with your own eyes on your own dog.
Prosper Neighborhoods We Serve
Prosper is one ZIP code, 75078, and we cover the whole town. The names below come from the Town of Prosper’s own planned-development records, so if you live in one of these, we are already there:
Windsong Ranch — the largest master-planned community in town, on the west side off Fishtrap, and home to the Lagoon. Miles of trails, a lot of dogs, and a lot of gates and amenity access to keep straight. Our sitters know it.
Star Trail — north of Prosper Trail, big lots and newer construction, with Star Trace and Star Meadow parks inside the neighborhood.
Whitley Place and Whitley Place West — east Prosper, mature trees, and its own park and trail.
Gentle Creek — one of the original Prosper communities, built around the golf course, with the large lots and long driveways that come with it.
Lakes of La Cima — established, quiet, and central. Several of our longest-running clients are here.
Whispering Farms and Whispering Meadows — acreage-style living with the Town Lake Park frontage. Often multiple animals per household, sometimes including livestock, which is worth mentioning when you call.
Frontier Estates, The Parks at Legacy, Legacy Gardens, Greens at Legacy and Legacy Creek Estates — the Legacy and Frontier corridor, close to Frontier Park and an easy commute for our sitters.
Saddle Creek, Willow Ridge, Steeplechase, Christie Farms, Hawk Ridge, Twin Creeks, Windridge, Greenspoint, Lakewood, Preston Lakes, Ariana Estates, Villages at Prosper Trail, Prosper Creek Estates, The Preserve at Doe Creek, Falls of Prosper, Parkside, Pradara and Prosper Hills — all coverage. If your neighborhood is brand new and not listed yet, call anyway. New Prosper streets come online faster than we can update a web page.
How It Works — Three Easy Steps
Step 1: Get in touch. Call (214) 574-7387, text (214) 360-7367, or book online. Tell us about your pets, your dates and what you need.
Step 2: Free meet-and-greet. We match you with a local Prosper sitter and set up a free in-home consultation. You meet them, walk through the routine, hand off a key and the gate code. No obligation and no charge.
Step 3: We take it from here. Your sitter follows the plan you set. A manager monitors every visit in real time. You get photos and you get to stop worrying.
The most important part is the part you get back: leave town, or work the long day, without the guilt. We also regularly serve nearby Frisco, McKinney, Plano, Allen and The Colony, plus Little Elm. Coverage follows your address, not the city line — call and we will match you with the closest sitter.
Ready to meet your Prosper pet sitter? The consultation is free, there is no obligation, and you will know exactly who is caring for your pets before you ever book a visit.
Frequently Asked Questions About Pet Sitting in Prosper
Is Prosper all one ZIP code?
Yes — 75078 covers the town. Prosper is still building out, so new streets appear faster than the address databases update; if a lookup fails, tell us the street and the neighborhood and we will place you. Our sitters here also work the surrounding Collin and Denton county cities, so the town line is not a limit on who we can send.
What will a Prosper visit run me?
$25 for a 25-minute visit with one pet, $3 for each additional pet, and dog walking plans from $23. Prosper has some large lots and long driveways and none of that changes the rate — we do not price by property size or by distance, and nothing is added at the end. The rates page covers every service.
Which Prosper routes do sitters use for walks?
Frontier Park on Frontier Parkway is the default when a dog needs more than a lap of the cul-de-sac — easy leashed loops, plenty of room, and close to most of central Prosper. If you are in Windsong Ranch, Windsong Park means the walk starts at your front door, and the trail network through Windsong is genuinely nice for dogs.
Is there a route that fits neatly into a 25-minute visit?
Whitley Place Park, tucked into the Whitley Place neighborhood on the east side. The trail access there makes for a good 25-minute out-and-back, which happens to be exactly the length of a standard visit. On the Star Trail side of town, Star Trace Park and Star Meadow Park are short and shaded — handy for a midday walk in August when the length matters less than the shade does.
Can my dog walk downtown?
On a leash, and it is a pleasant one. Broadway and Coleman, the silos, and the small-town blocks around them make a nice stroll on a cool morning if your dog likes being around people. For a dog who would rather not meet anyone, one of the neighborhood parks is the better call.
Will my sitter let my dog off leash?
No, and we will state it plainly: dogs stay leashed while our sitter is on the clock, off-leash areas included. This is not a judgment about your dog. It is that nobody can manage a loose dog, an unfamiliar dog and a phone camera at the same moment, and that is not a risk we are willing to hand you. Off-leash time is a fine thing to do together, with your own eyes on your own dog.
Is my pet ever taken off the property?
Only for the walk. There is no kennel, no daycare and no transport — your dog sleeps in his own bed and your cat keeps her own windowsill. Meals, water, litter, medication, attention and a check of the house all happen where your animals already live, and the sitter secures the place on her way out.
Do we get to meet the sitter first?
Yes, and it is free. Before the first paid visit she comes out, meets your animals, walks the property and the gates, looks at the alarm keypad, and takes down your routine in your own words. On a large lot that walkthrough is worth real money — knowing where the back fence gate is beats searching for it in the dark.
Who is coming to my house?
A W-2 employee, background-checked before she was hired, bonded, and covered by our commercial liability insurance. Never a contractor. In a town where a sitter may be the only person on the property for days at a stretch, the fact that we hired, trained and insured her is the substance of what you are buying.
Will a sitter administer prescriptions?
Yes, and we treat it as routine rather than an add-on. Oral medication, insulin, subcutaneous fluids, eye and ear drops, inhalers. What matters more than the list is the handover: at the free in-home visit you show us the dose, the hiding place and the timing, we write it into the file, and any sitter covering for your regular one works from those same written notes instead of a text message.
What is the contingency if a visit is at risk?
Another trained employee covers it and we let you know rather than leaving you to wonder. Prosper is at the northern end of our coverage, so we are deliberate about staffing it — the backup is someone already working nearby, and your instructions are held centrally so she arrives knowing the gate code and the feeding routine.
Will the house look occupied while we are gone?
If you want it to. Sitters bring in mail and packages, move blinds and a light, and handle the trash bin on collection day. We leave nothing on the door and nothing in the driveway that signals an empty house. On a street where most homes are new and the neighbors are still learning each other’s cars, being unremarkable is the goal.
How is this different from Rover or Wag?
Those platforms hand you a profile and step aside. We are a company with sitters on payroll, supervisors, monitored visits, documented instructions, backup staff and our own commercial insurance, and we have been running it since 2003. When a visit is at risk, resolving it is our job, not a notification you deal with from somewhere else.
