Cat sitting in Irving

Towne Lake Park — 23 acres at 800 Esters Road with a fishing lake, paved paths, picnic tables and restrooms. Leashed dogs are welcome and it is one of the better long walks on the west side of Irving. Worth knowing: Irving does not have a MacArthur Park. MacArthur Boulevard runs the length of the city, Las Colinas has a subdivision called MacArthur Park at Las Colinas, and the actual MacArthur Park is over in Coppell. What is the Campion Trail and do your walkers use it?

Constantly — our dog walkers treat it as Irving’s crown jewel. It runs more than 22 miles of paved trail along the Elm Fork of the Trinity River, straight through the heart of the city and Las Colinas, with water views, bridges and connections into other trail systems. Leashed dogs are welcome, and on the clock we keep the walk leashed the whole way.

Where should I look in south Irving for a good walk?

Fritz Park is the one our sitters use most down there — one of the oldest parks in the city, with a paw print trail, walking paths and a genuinely peaceful feel for neighborhood walks. On the west side, Towne Lake Park covers 23 acres at 800 Esters Road with a fishing lake, paved paths, picnic tables and restrooms, and it makes one of the better long walks in that half of Irving.

Where is MacArthur Park in Irving?

There isn’t one, and this catches people out regularly. MacArthur Boulevard runs the length of the city and lends its name to schools, shopping and a whole mental map of Irving, so residents assume a MacArthur Park exists. It does not. If someone tells you to meet them there, they mean something else — and if a pet care company lists it as a walking spot, they have not been to Irving.

Is there an off-leash dog park in Irving?

Yes — Irving Dog Park, just under five acres at 4140 Valley View Lane, with water on site and no restrooms. Take your own dog and enjoy it. Our sitters will not use it on a paid visit: on the clock we keep dogs leashed, so we do not turn a client’s dog loose in the run with strange dogs and no owner present.

Our phone line runs 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Central and a manager is on call around the clock if a visit needs backup.

Yes — free, in your home, and with no obligation to book. Your sitter meets the animals, learns the house, and confirms whatever the access situation actually is, whether that is a gate code, a garage keypad or a building fob.
