Looking for a trusted pet sitter in Arlington?
Arlington is the seventh-largest city in Texas and sits right in the heart of DFW — but it doesn’t have public transit, which means Arlington residents are used to doing things their own way. That independence extends to pet care. You don’t want a faceless app. You want someone local, someone you’ve met, someone your pets already know.
DFW Pet Sitting has been caring for Arlington pets since 2003. Every pet sitter and dog walker we assign in Arlington is a W-2 employee of our company, not an independent contractor or gig worker. They’re background-checked, trained, insured, and bonded. And they live right here in the Arlington area, usually within 5 miles of your front door.
We’re not an app. We’re not a marketplace. When you book with us, you’ll meet your assigned pet sitter in person before your first service. That person becomes your sitter — the same face every time, someone your pets will recognize and trust.
We monitor every visit through our pet sitting software. Phones are answered 6:00am–11:00pm Central. A manager is on call 24/7 if a visit needs backup from our 250+ employees across DFW.
What we offer in Arlington
Vacation & Travel Pet Sitting — Whether you’re heading to DFW Airport or taking a road trip, your Arlington sitter follows your pets’ exact routine — feeding times, medications, walks, playtime, and all the belly rubs. We handle dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish, and small caged animals. No kennel drop-off.
Daily Dog Walking — Midday walks for Arlington families with puppies, senior dogs, or busy work schedules. Same walker, same window — not whoever taps an app. Whether you live near UTA, in Viridian, or along Cooper Street, your walker is nearby.
Cat Sitting — Litter, portioned feeding, play, and medication in the house. See how a 25-minute Arlington cat visit works.
Event Weekend Coverage — Arlington is home to AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Field, and Six Flags. When big events bring traffic and chaos to the entertainment district, your pets still need care on schedule. Our sitters live locally and know how to navigate Arlington on game days and concert weekends — your pets’ routine won’t be disrupted.
Short-Notice & Holiday Coverage — Because our sitters live locally, we can often accommodate last-minute requests. Thanksgiving and Christmas fill first. Call if you already have travel dates.
House Sitting & Home Checks — Mail, porch packages, lights, bins, plants, and a walk-through. Most Arlington clients add this onto pet visits rather than booking it alone — especially when a Cowboys or Rangers weekend makes an empty house obvious.
What Makes Us Different From Rover and Wag
Arlington game-day traffic, UTA apartments, and Viridian gates are not a job for a stranger with a profile. You are hiring a managed W-2 employee of a company that has sat pets here since 2003. Side by side:
| Rover / Wag | DFW Pet Sitting | |
|---|---|---|
| Who enters your home | A different contractor each time you book | One assigned sitter — the same person, every visit |
| Who they work for | Independent gig contractor | W-2 employee: background-checked, trained, supervised |
| If something goes wrong | Platform “guarantee” with exclusions | Commercial liability insurance and bonding |
| If your sitter cancels | You re-book and hope | Manager activates backup from 250+ DFW staff |
| Oversight | Nothing between you and the sitter | Every visit tracked by a manager in real time |
| Before your first visit | Optional chat, often skipped | Free in-person meet-and-greet, always |
Cat sitting in Arlington
Arlington cats do better at home than in a carrier to a kennel. A visit is 25 minutes: fresh water, food the way you portion it, a scooped box, play, and a look at how your cat is actually doing. You get a photo.
Sitters handle pills, insulin, sub-q fluids, eye drops, and inhalers. If a cat hides in a Viridian house or a Cooper Street townhome they have never fully mapped, they sit on the floor and wait. They do not leave without seeing the cat.
Once a day is the minimum for a healthy adult. Kittens, seniors, and medical cats need two. We will not leave a pile of food and a full box over a long holiday weekend.
Your Home’s Security Is Our Priority
Arlington notices marked vans — especially near the entertainment district on a game weekend. Our sitters don’t wear branded uniforms or drive wrapped cars, and we don’t plant a yard sign that says you are gone.
Your sitter looks like a neighbor or family member stopping by — which is the point in an established neighborhood near Randol Mill, a newer development in Viridian or Walsh Ranch, a townhome near the entertainment district, or a family home in Pantego or Dalworthington Gardens. Gate codes stay with the one assigned person. We want the house to look lived-in, not advertised.
Discretion isn’t a perk. It’s standard.
Meet our sitters
You meet your assigned Arlington-area sitter in your home before the first paid visit. They are a W-2 employee, not a rotating contractor. Ashley and Laura in the office handle scheduling. A manager is on call 24/7 if a visit needs a backup sitter from our 250+ staff. No photos on this page — you meet them in person.
One of our Arlington sitters says: “I love working at DFW Pet Sitting because I get to meet and play with so many different animals while getting to ensure that they are well cared for while their parents are gone!”
What clients say
Arlington families review us on the same Google listing as the rest of DFW — 4.9 stars from 500+ reviews. That is the company listing, not an Arlington storefront. We do not have an Arlington office. Read the reviews, then meet your sitter in person.

Arlington’s best spots for pet owners
Arlington has more to offer pet owners than most people realize. Here are the spots our sitters recommend:
Veterans Park — A picturesque park with walking trails, open green space, and pet-friendly areas for picnics and relaxation. The serene setting makes it one of our sitters’ favorite spots for afternoon dog walks.
Arlington Off-Leash Dog Parks — The city maintains several parks that allow dogs to run off-leash. Check the City of Arlington’s parks page for current locations and rules — availability varies by park and season.
River Legacy Parks — Over 1,000 acres of forested trails along the Trinity River. Paved and unpaved paths wind through one of the most beautiful nature preserves in the metroplex. Dogs on leash are welcome and our walkers consider this Arlington’s hidden gem.
Arlington Highlands — A shopping and dining district with many pet-friendly outdoor patios. Great for a casual outing with your dog on a weekend afternoon.
Randol Mill Park — A well-maintained neighborhood park with walking trails, playground areas, and plenty of green space for leashed walks with your pet.
We also regularly serve nearby Mansfield, Fort Worth, Hurst, Bedford, and Euless, plus Pantego, Dalworthington Gardens, and Grand Prairie.

FAQs
How much does pet sitting cost in Arlington?
A standard drop-in visit is $25 for 25 minutes, one pet. Extra pet is $3. Dog walking plans start at $23. Unlike apps that add service fees on top, our price is your price. See the rates page or call (214) 574-7387.
Do I get to meet my pet sitter before booking?
Absolutely. Every new client gets a free in-person meet-and-greet with their assigned Arlington pet sitter. You’ll walk through your home together, go over your pets’ routines, show where supplies are kept, and make sure everyone — including your pets — is comfortable.
Do you have an Arlington office I can walk into?
No. Arlington is a city we serve, not a storefront. There is no Arlington street address, no lobby, and no map pin for a branch. Your assigned sitter comes to your home in Viridian, Walsh Ranch, near UTA, or wherever you live in Arlington. Phones are answered 6:00am–11:00pm Central. A manager is on call 24/7 if a visit needs backup.
Are your Arlington pet sitters background-checked?
Yes. Every employee undergoes a thorough background check before they’re hired. They’re also bonded and covered under our company’s commercial liability insurance. We don’t use independent contractors.
What happens if my pet sitter has an emergency?
We have a documented emergency replacement protocol. Our manager is notified immediately, contacts you, and assigns a qualified backup sitter from the Arlington area. Nearby Mansfield, Fort Worth, and HEB (Hurst-Euless-Bedford) sitters provide additional backup. With 250+ employees across DFW, your pets’ care is never interrupted.
Can you give my pet medication?
Yes. Arlington sitters handle oral meds, insulin, sub-q fluids, eye drops, and inhalers. You go over the routine in person at the meet-and-greet so the person who shows up already knows the cabinet, the fridge, and the cat who hides.
Will my pets’ schedule be disrupted during Cowboys or Rangers game weekends?
No. Our Arlington sitters live locally and know how to navigate the city on event days. Traffic near AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field doesn’t affect their ability to reach homes in residential neighborhoods. Your pets’ routine stays on track regardless of what’s happening in the entertainment district.
Do you serve areas around UTA and the entertainment district?
Yes. We cover all of Arlington including neighborhoods near UTA, the entertainment district, Cooper Street corridor, Viridian, Walsh Ranch, Randol Mill, and surrounding areas like Pantego and Dalworthington Gardens. Arlington has several ZIP codes; we sit throughout the city rather than pinning a fake storefront to one of them.
Do you offer overnight pet sitting in Arlington?
We offer extended visits and can customize a schedule that works for your pets’ needs. Call (214) 574-7387 or contact us to discuss overnight options for your specific situation.
How is DFW Pet Sitting different from Rover or Wag?
Rover and Wag are marketplace apps where you hire individual freelancers. We’re an established company with W-2 employees, professional management, visit monitoring, emergency backup protocols, and commercial insurance. Your sitter is vetted, trained, and supervised by our team — not just reviewed by strangers on an app.
