Cat Sitting in Little Elm

Where Our Little Elm Sitters Walk

Little Elm is unusually well set up for dogs, largely because the town built out its lakefront and trails instead of just its subdivisions. These are the routes that come up most:

Wood Family Dog Park — one of the town’s two dedicated dog parks. We will walk your dog there on a leash and around it, though we do not go inside the off-leash area while we are working. See the FAQ below for why.

Union Park Bark Park — the dog park inside the Union Park community, which is a walk from the front door for a lot of our clients on that side of town.

Lakefront Trail and Little Elm Park — the main event. Water views, shade in the right stretches, and enough length that a high-energy dog actually comes home tired. This is the most-requested walking route we get in Little Elm.

McCord Park — central, easy, and a good option when you want a real walk rather than a lap of the cul-de-sac.

Beard Park and Cottonwood Park — smaller neighborhood parks that make solid 25-minute out-and-backs, and Beard Park has the library’s Storywalk running through it.

Harts Branch Trail and the Johnny Broyles Nature Trail — quieter, more natural footing, and better on a hot morning than open pavement.

One rule stated plainly: we keep dogs leashed while we are on the clock, including at both dog parks. It is not that we distrust your dog. It is that a sitter cannot manage a loose dog, a strange loose dog and a phone camera at once, and we are not willing to hand you that risk. Hillstone Pointe — newer construction with a high concentration of young families and first dogs. Mid-day walks are the most common request here.

Lakeside Estates — closer to the water, larger lots, and the fence-line and wildlife considerations that come with being near the lake.

We will walk your dog to them and around them on a leash, but we do not go inside the off-leash areas while we are working — that applies to both the Wood Family Dog Park and the Union Park Bark Park.
