Cat sitting in Corinth

The Commons at Agora — The city itself calls this the jewel of the Corinth park system, and since it opened in June 2024 it has become the civic green people mean when they say downtown. Open lawn, walking space, and a real gathering point on the Corinth Parkway corridor. Corinth Unleashed — The Bark Park — The city’s off-leash park at 3700 Corinth Parkway, and the amenity list is better than most: benches, dog fountains, a waste station, a shade structure, and a sidewalk. Hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., like every Corinth park. The catch that sends people home disappointed: Corinth Unleashed closes every Thursday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. for maintenance. Corinth Nature Preserve and Butterfly Garden — At 3901 Corinth Parkway, a restored pollinator habitat built under the Keep Corinth Beautiful initiative, with benches, a pavilion, and a little library. Not a run-around park — a slow one. It is the right stop for a senior dog who would rather smell things than cover ground, and in October the city holds its Monarch Market here for the monarch migration.

LLELA, and why we will not take your dog there — The Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area is the big natural area nearby, and Corinth owners ask about it constantly. The answer is no: LLELA does not allow pets at all. Not leashed, not carried. The preserve bars them to protect wildlife and the birdwatchers who come for it, and the only exception is a service animal actively working. Their own staff leave their dogs at home. Go yourself — $5 a vehicle, card only — and let us walk the dog at home that morning.

River Oaks Park — The most quietly useful park in this hub, for a reason nobody advertises: it sits on three lots in the Thousand Oaks neighborhood at River Oak Way and Sunny Oak Lane, and the 540 homes around it lie in both Corinth and Lake Dallas. A full serpentine sidewalk rings the play field as a walking and biking track, with benches, a picnic pavilion, and solar lights. If your address is on that seam, this is your park no matter which city your mail says.

The Denton Katy Trail — The regional rail-trail running alongside the DCTA line, and the spine of what Corinth is building downtown. It links north toward the Lake Ray Roberts Greenbelt and south into Lake Dallas, where the same path runs along the western edge of town. 76210 — Post Oak, Oakmont, Meadowview, and the south end

South Corinth, toward Lake Dallas and the Lewisville Lake side. Post Oak Drive, the Oakmont subdivisions, Meadowview, Larkspur, Eagle Pass, Thousand Oaks, and The Parks of Corinth — a planned development the city has been amending since 1999. Larger lots in places, more trees, and the seam where Corinth quietly becomes Lake Dallas. 76210 is shared with south Denton along Teasley and Ryan Road.

River Oaks Park is the clearest illustration in the whole hub: one small park, 540 surrounding homes, and the city line runs straight through the neighborhood. Thousand Oaks straddles it too.
