DeSoto is a unique city.  It’s kinda on its own, away from the hustle and bustle of Dallas.   But it has everything a pet lover needs.

Take your dog for a nice walk on a historic route through DeSoto, Texas.  It is one of the oldest settlements in the northern region of this beautiful state.

Take your dog on a trail walk that winds through one of the oldest settlements in the North Texas region on the Roy Orr Trail. As you meander through these short, mainly paved trails, get a little history lesson. They cross through town and into neighborhoods and some beautiful creekside areas.  The path crosses the Ten Mile Creek and gives many photo ops with your pets.

This is not the most rugged of trails.  The paved walkways make it convenient to go easy and feel like you are in a park.  The city of DeSoto has installed numerous dog stations in an effort to keep the trails clean. They do have ordinances around this, so be sure to pick up after your dog. Enjoy!
