What we offer in Grapevine
Vacation & Travel Pet Sitting — Grapevine is Historic Main Street and Grapevine Lake, not a kennel drop-off. When you leave for a lake weekend, a winery trip, or a holiday stretch as Christmas Capital of Texas, your assigned sitter keeps feeding, meds, walks, and play on your pets’ usual home schedule. Dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish, and small caged animals.
Daily Dog Walking — Midday walks for GCISD school days and workdays. Same walker, same window — not whoever taps an app. Oak Grove Park on the lake, Parr Park, Dove Park, and the streets off Main Street and Dove Loop are the usual loops when your dog needs more than the backyard.
Cat Sitting — Litter, portioned feeding, play, and medication in the house. See how a 25-minute Grapevine cat visit works.
Short-Notice & Holiday Coverage — Sitters live near the Grapevine homes they visit, so a last-minute request before GrapeFest, a Christmas Capital trip, or a GCISD break is often possible. Thanksgiving and Christmas fill first. Call if you already have travel dates.
House Sitting & Home Checks — Mail and porch packages (Main Street and festival weekends add up), lights, bins, plants, and a walk-through. Most Grapevine clients add this onto pet visits rather than booking it alone.
What Makes Us Different From Rover and Wag
Grapevine is a small historic city with lake neighborhoods and a packed festival calendar. That is not a job for a stranger with a profile. You are hiring a managed W-2 employee of a company that has sat pets here since 2003. Side by side:
| Rover / Wag | DFW Pet Sitting | |
|---|---|---|
| Who enters your home | A different contractor each time you book | One assigned sitter — the same person, every visit |
| Who they work for | Independent gig contractor | W-2 employee: background-checked, trained, supervised |
| If something goes wrong | Platform “guarantee” with exclusions | Commercial liability insurance and bonding |
| If your sitter cancels | You re-book and hope | Manager activates backup from 250+ DFW staff |
| Oversight | Nothing between you and the sitter | Every visit tracked by a manager in real time |
| Before your first visit | Optional chat, often skipped | Free in-person meet-and-greet, always |
Cat sitting in Grapevine
Grapevine cats do better at home than in a carrier to a kennel — especially before a GrapeFest weekend or a Christmas Capital trip. A visit is 25 minutes: fresh water, food the way you portion it, a scooped box, play, and a look at how your cat is actually doing. You get a photo.
Sitters handle pills, insulin, sub-q fluids, eye drops, and inhalers. If a cat hides in a Silver Lake or Historic Downtown house they have never fully mapped, they sit on the floor and wait. They do not leave without seeing the cat.
Once a day is the minimum for a healthy adult. Kittens, seniors, and medical cats need two. We will not leave a pile of food and a full box over a long GCISD break.
Your Home’s Security Is Our Priority
Grapevine notices marked vans, and Main Street already draws enough tourist traffic. Our sitters do not wear branded uniforms or drive wrapped cars, and we do not plant a yard sign that says you are gone.
Your sitter looks like a neighbor or family member stopping by — which is the point on a quiet street in Silver Lake, Lakeside, Stone Bridge Oaks, or the blocks off Historic Main Street. Any gate codes stay with the one assigned person. We want the house to look lived-in, not advertised.
Discretion isn’t a perk. It’s standard.
Meet our sitters
You meet your assigned Grapevine-area sitter in your home before the first paid visit. They are a W-2 employee, not a rotating contractor. Ashley and Laura in the office handle scheduling. A manager is on call 24/7 if a visit needs a backup sitter from our 250+ staff.
Bonnie
Grapevine-area pet sitter. “It’s such a good feeling when the pets are happy to see me. When clients leave town, their loved one(s) can be sad. But at each visit, I see a change in emotion from sad to very happy, which makes me happy, too.” No photos on this page — you meet your assigned sitter in your home before the first paid visit.
What clients say
Grapevine families review us on the same Google listing as the rest of DFW — 4.9 stars from 500+ reviews. That is the company listing, not a Grapevine storefront. We do not have a Grapevine office. Read the reviews, then meet your sitter in person.

FAQs
Do you have a Grapevine office I can walk into?
No. Grapevine is a city we serve, not a storefront. There is no Grapevine street address, no lobby, and no map pin for a branch. Your assigned sitter comes to your home on Main Street, in Silver Lake, Dove, Lakeside, Stone Bridge Oaks, or wherever you live in 76051. Phones are answered 6:00am–11:00pm Central. A manager is on call 24/7 if a visit needs backup.
Does GrapeFest or Christmas Capital traffic affect my pet’s care?
No. Our Grapevine sitters live locally and already know how to reach Silver Lake, Dove, Lakeside, and the residential streets off Historic Main Street when downtown is packed. Festival traffic does not cancel a visit. Thanksgiving, Christmas, GrapeFest, and GCISD breaks fill first — call as soon as you have dates. The free meet-and-greet still happens before the first paid visit so it is not a stranger walking in.
Can you give my pet medication?
Yes. Grapevine sitters handle oral meds, insulin, sub-q fluids, eye drops, and inhalers. You go over the routine in person at the meet-and-greet so the person who shows up already knows the cabinet, the fridge, and the cat who hides in a Silver Lake spare bedroom or a cottage off Main Street.
