Cat sitting in Keller

A cat gains nothing from a car journey. Keller sitters give oral medication, topicals, eye drops, insulin and inhalers in the house. A stop lasts 25 minutes: water changed, her portion put down, litter cleared, some play, and a note on how she looked. A photo goes with it.

Pet-Friendly Spots Our Keller Sitters Love

Keller keeps 336 acres of developed parkland across eleven sites, and the parks are open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. That is the frame your sitter works inside. These are the places we actually use:

Bear Creek Park and the Big Bear Creek Greenbelt — The greenbelt trail runs roughly 5.4 miles, from the Chisholm Trail inside Keller Sports Park east to Bear Creek Parkway at Lakeridge Drive in Hidden Lakes. It is the longest continuous walk in the city and the one our daily walkers use most.

K-9 Pointe Dog Park — Keller’s first and only dog park, open since 2016, sits by the overflow parking at The Keller Pointe, 405 Rufe Snow Drive. There are separate large and small sides, with the small side intended for dogs 30 lbs and under, plus a shade pavilion, seating, water fountains and a spread of agility equipment. Hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, except Wednesdays when it stays closed until noon for maintenance, and it closes after heavy rain until the ground dries out. Bring the leash for the walk in, keep current vaccination tags on the collar, take pinch or prong collars off at the gate, and leave the treats at home — food is not allowed inside. Three dogs per person is the limit, and the city asks that children under 10 stay outside the fence.

The Parks at Town Center — About 1.1 miles of trail, running from the Big Bear Creek Greenbelt north past The Keller Pointe to the Lakes at Town Hall and on to North Lake. Shops, water and shade on one loop, which makes it the easiest walk to talk a reluctant dog into.

Johnson Road Park and Bursey Ranch Park — Short internal loops, roughly six-tenths of a mile and two-tenths respectively. That is the right distance for a senior dog, or for a puppy still working out what a leash is for.

Overton Ridge Park and the Indian Trail — Five constructed segments totaling about 2.3 miles, threading through Silver Lake, Bourland Oaks, Harmonson Farms, Overton Ridge and Marshall Point. Most of it is sidewalk-and-greenbelt walking, so it still works after dark.

A second off-leash option — Grapevine’s Bark Park at Bear Creek is a short drive east: 14 acres, paddocks split at 25 lb, a motion-activated splash pad and a dog washing station. It closes Thursdays until noon for maintenance, so check the day before you drive over.

The Keller rotation also covers Southlake, Colleyville, North Richland Hills, Roanoke, Trophy Club, and Fort Worth. Since 76244 defaults to a different city name on the mail, we dispatch on your street address instead of the ZIP. Call and the nearest sitter is assigned.

Hidden Lakes — The eastern end of the Big Bear Creek Greenbelt, where the trail meets Bear Creek Parkway at Lakeridge Drive. Live here and the 5.4-mile greenbelt is effectively your backyard.

Meadows of Bear Creek, Forest Bend and Bramble Woods — Strung along the Eastern Trail, which runs three-quarters of a mile from Bear Creek Parkway at Keller-Smithfield Road through Meadows of Bear Creek, down the sidewalks of Forest Bend and into Bramble Woods. One leashed loop covers all three.

Silver Lake — The first constructed segment of the Indian Trail runs west from Pate-Orr Road straight through here. Short and quiet, and it fits inside a 25-minute visit without rushing.

Bourland Oaks and Harmonson Farms — Indian Trail segment three climbs north from Johnson Road through both, about six-tenths of a mile, with Johnson Road Park and its own internal loop sitting at the bottom of it.

Overton Ridge and Marshall Point — Segment four runs north from Mt. Gilead Road for roughly eight-tenths of a mile, and segment five carries on from Northern Trace to the north end of Overton Ridge Park and out to Weybridge Lane.

Fall Creek Estates — Sits off the Little Bear Creek trail near Rufe Snow Drive, which also puts you a few minutes from K-9 Pointe.

Chase Oaks and Willis Coves — The Meandering Trail, nearly two miles of it, comes up from Bursey Road and passes through both on its way to Rapp Road.

Stewart Estates and Forest Lakes — The Meandering Connector is a third of a mile sitting entirely inside these two subdivisions, which makes it the most private walk in Keller.

Keller Town Center and the Lakes at Town Hall — Trail, shops, water and The Keller Pointe inside the same mile. Good for a dog that needs distraction rather than distance.

Brentwood — The Brentwood Trail runs half a mile north from Brentwood Drive to Waterwood Drive and Deerwood Lane, then out to Bear Creek Parkway.

Shady Grove and the Preston corridor — Two greenwalks: Shady Grove from Rapp Road to Keller Smithfield Road, and Preston from Shady Grove Road to Bear Creek Parkway. Both flat, paved, and usable on a dark winter evening.

Keller addresses come with three different ZIP codes. Which ones do you cover?

All three. 76248 is Keller’s own code and belongs to no one else. 76244 is a Keller code that the Postal Service also accepts as Fort Worth. 76262 is the Roanoke-named code that reaches into northern Keller. Whichever one is on your envelope, you are inside our Keller coverage.

Why does my Keller mail sometimes say Fort Worth?

Because 76244 carries Keller as its default city name but Fort Worth as an accepted alternate, so mailers and delivery apps flip between the two. It changes nothing about who serves you. If your billing address autofills as Fort Worth and you actually live in Keller, tell us the street and we will assign the Keller sitter, not the Fort Worth team.

Can we meet the sitter at our house before we book anything?

Yes, and we would rather you did. The in-home consultation is free and carries no obligation. Your sitter walks the house with you, learns where the leash and the food live, tests the lock, and meets the animals on their own floor instead of at a curb. You will know exactly who is coming before you commit to anything.

Keller parks open at 6 a.m. Can our dog walk happen that early?

Yes. Keller’s eleven park sites are open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., and that window is wide enough for the early shift and the after-dark shift both. Our phone line runs 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Central, so scheduling a sunrise walk does not require catching us during business hours.

Will your sitter take my dog to K-9 Pointe Dog Park?

Not off leash. On the clock our sitters keep dogs leashed, so we do not turn a client’s dog loose in the run — we cannot control the other dogs in there, and one bad thirty seconds is not worth it. We will happily walk the perimeter and the connecting path at The Keller Pointe on leash. Off-leash time at K-9 Pointe is something we would rather you enjoy with your own dog.

We live in Hidden Lakes. Is that a neighborhood your sitters know?

Well. Hidden Lakes is where the greenbelt terminates, at Bear Creek Parkway and Lakeridge Drive, so the 5.4-mile trail is effectively at your curb. We are just as familiar with Meadows of Bear Creek, Forest Bend and Bramble Woods on the Eastern Trail, and with Silver Lake, Bourland Oaks, Harmonson Farms, Overton Ridge and Marshall Point along the Indian Trail segments.

Is my Keller sitter your employee or a contractor?

An employee. Every sitter is W-2, background-checked, insured and bonded through the company — never a gig worker picking up a shift. That is why we can assign a named person to your address and hold them to a written policy, and it is the single biggest structural difference between us and an app.

What happens if our regular Keller sitter gets sick mid-trip?

We can absolutely include yard time in the visit, on leash or with the sitter out there with them. What we will not do is treat the yard as a substitute for the visit — the point of the 25 minutes is that someone is with your dogs, watching how they move and eat and drink, not just opening a door. Who do I call if my dog gets out of the yard while we are away?

Keller Animal Control, and they are close — the shelter is at 330 Rufe Snow Drive. Keller’s department also handles animal services for neighboring Westlake under contract, so it is the same office either side of that town line. Keep the rabies tag on the collar and the microchip registration current; officers carry scanners, and a current chip is what turns a lost dog into a phone call.

Do you offer overnight stays in Keller?

We build overnight coverage out of scheduled visits rather than a sitter sleeping over.
