Why does our Trophy Club mail arrive addressed to Roanoke?

Because Trophy Club sits inside ZIP 76262, and the Postal Service assigned that code the default city name of Roanoke. Trophy Club is an accepted alternate, as are Keller, Northlake and Westlake — five municipalities on one code. Delivery drivers get it wrong constantly. Your sitter will not: we dispatch on the street address, and we keep separate pages for Roanoke, Westlake and Northlake because they are genuinely different places.

We live in Hogan’s Glen behind a staffed gate. How does our sitter get in?

By being on the gate list before the first visit, not by talking their way through it on the morning you leave. Guard-gated means a code is not enough, so at the free consultation we work out exactly what the gatehouse needs — name, vehicle, date range — and you register it. We would rather spend fifteen minutes on that in advance than have your dog waiting while a guard makes a phone call.

Trophy Club is a golf cart community. Do your sitters drive one?

No, our sitters arrive by car. The golf cart ordinance matters to us for a different reason: cart traffic on residential streets and cart paths means a dog on a loose leash can be surprised by a quiet vehicle that makes almost no noise. Our sitters walk on a short leash near the cart paths and cross where sight lines are open.

Will your sitter let our dog run at Freedom Dog Park?

Not while on the clock. Our sitters keep dogs leashed on paid visits, so we do not turn a client’s dog loose in the run, even in a park as well built as this one. Freedom Dog Park’s 8.3 acres, split large and small sides with agility equipment, shade and two pavilions, is genuinely one of the better runs in the mid-cities — worth your own Saturday morning. On our time your dog gets a leashed walk instead.

Can the visit include a walk at Trophy Club Park on the lake?

For a longer walking plan, yes. Trophy Club Park sits on the northern shore of Grapevine Lake across more than 1,000 acres, with leashed dogs welcome on the trails. It is a beautiful walk and it is not a 25-minute walk — the drive plus the trail needs a longer block, so we schedule it deliberately rather than squeezing it in. For a standard visit we stay in the neighborhood.

Which Trophy Club neighborhoods do your sitters cover?

The whole town. The Highlands, where homes back onto the Corps of Engineers greenbelt and the trail access is the best in Trophy Club. Hogan’s Glen behind its gate. Do we get to meet the sitter before the first trip?

Yes — free, in your home, with no obligation to book afterward. For gated and golf-course-lot homes this visit does double duty: your sitter learns the animals, and the two of you settle gate access, alarm codes and which door actually works. Nothing about your first real visit should be a surprise to anyone.

Does Trophy Club get a W-2 employee or a contractor?

W-2 employees, background-checked, and covered by company insurance and bonding. We have never used gig workers. In a town where a lot of residents are security-conscious by disposition, this is usually the answer that matters most: there is a company standing behind the person at your door, not a marketplace disclaimer.

What if our assigned sitter cannot make a visit?

Another sitter from the Trophy Club rotation covers it and we notify you. Your access details, gate list notes and pet routine live in the file rather than in one person’s head, which is the whole reason a 250-person company can promise continuity that a solo sitter cannot.

Can you give our dog medication while we travel?

Yes for the ordinary range — tablets, capsules hidden in food, topical ointments, eye and ear drops, and subcutaneous injections like insulin. We rehearse it with you at the consultation so the sitter has done it once with you watching. Anything past routine home care we will tell you honestly is a vet’s job.

Our dog barks at golf carts and golfers. Can the sitter avoid the course?

Yes, and we would plan it that way from the start. Plenty of Trophy Club homes back directly onto the Hogan or Whitworth fairways, which means the standard route out of your own gate is the worst possible route for a reactive dog. Your sitter will map a walk that stays on interior streets and greenbelt instead, and we write that into the care notes so a backup sitter follows the same route.
